How to install kickout flashing on exsisting roof.
Use roofing nails to install the l shaped flashing flush with the roof and wall then cover it with roofing cement and reattach the roofer s felt.
Step 2 flash the roof and roof wall connection.

Nail it to the sidewall or glue it if nailing isn t possible.
Now install the kickout flashing and step flashings up the roof as needed.
If the kick out and step flashing can t tuck behind the siding screw on cap flashing to cover it then caulk along the top.
Slip in the flashing.
Tape over the cut in the housewrap with housewrap tape.

We usually begin by installing a piece of peel and stick flashing folding it into the corner between the roof and the wall.
Bead and tool fastflash to the top edge of transition strip.
The wall leg of the kickout should be applied over the housewrap cut a 2 ft square piece of housewrap and tuck one edge into the horizontal cut the same one the first piece of housewrap was slipped into and up under the housewrap on the wall by at least 5 in.
Next install a course of peel and stick membrane along the eaves.
The kickout goes in next followed by standard step flashings.
Finally reattach all shingles removed in the process.
