Measure the total run of the gutter length you need.
The first gutter piece and maybe the second and even a third piece will likely be full 10 ft.
Downspouts typically are sold in lengths of 10 feet.
Cut one section of downspout to custom fit the length to your house.
Measure the distance between these fittings and cut a short length of downspout to join the allowing for about 1 1 2 in.
Then if you re measuring from an outside roof edge to an inside corner subtract 5 inches to leave room for the inside box miter.
Start by pushing the female end of a downspout elbow onto the first outlet fitting.
If you have a straight run gable roof measure from shingle to shingle and then add.
Unaltered two downspout pieces measure an inch or two shy of 20 feet.
Add 4 more inches to the length you need.
Next conceal the area where the different ends of the fascia board meet and the fixings by fitting a fascia cover joiner over the top of them.
Then hold a second elbow against the corner of the house in line with the first elbow.
Of insertion on one end.
When doing this however there should be an 8 10mm gap between the two ends.
Assuming that the gutters are pvc and the same profile a union bracket would be used to join them the union bracket must always be screwed to the fascia board to prevent thermal movement causing it to displace allowing rainwater to escape.
Check the measurements so that the total length of the first and second gutter when put together will equal the length.
