Flip the control lever on the right side of the roller tube as though you were preparing to fully extend the awning.

Grasp the awning to prevent it from rolling up by itself.
Pull the support arm to release the ratchet attached to the other end of the lever.
Next do the same to the other side of the awning.
You should now be at the rear of the awning facing the front.
Adjusting your retractable awning is not as difficult as it may seem.
If you have a standard spring loaded awning with small black rafter knobs loosen the knobs now just a few turns are necessary don t remove them or loosen them all the way.
Make sure to keep the arms parallel to one another so you don t damage the unit.
Pull the awning strap to one side and tie it to an arm to keep it out of the way.
Have two people hold the awning against the side of the rv and slowly walk it down while a third person feeds the fabric into the rail track.
Set one side of the awning lower than the other if it rains this will allow the water to run off instead of collecting on top of the awning.
If necessary use a screwdriver or other tool to pry open the awning extrusion track on one side.
Some awnings have mechanisms that allow you to adjust them with ease.
When done pop the lower ends of both awning arms out from their brackets on the side of the rv and extend them until they are both touching the ground.
Lower the awning arms to the rest position.
So reattach the front leg to the side of the rv and raise it up a bit.
Rotate this leg clockwise as many times as you did the front leg.
Slide the rafters down to the rest position.
There is one at each end of the awning.
Step 1 undo the travel latch or lock that holds the awning to the side of the rv.
Loosen the rafters knobs and release the rafter catches.
Once you have your awning installed you might need to make sure that the slope is the right angle and the extension is appropriate.
